Discuss one thing you learned from the live class or breakout room discussion with your classmates. You can talk about any topic covered. 

Answer: We all need coffee!!!!! It keeps us awake and alert. Speak with a firm, authoritive voice. Believe in what you are saying, do not seem hesitant, get to the point and maintain eye contact. Add emphasis especially on the last word in the sentence, pause if the need arises.

On slide 4 is a Show and Tell slide. Our desire is to build relationships with our students and give the students a way to get to know the teacher. Film a 1 minute show and tell video. Pretend you are speaking to a class of students. Make sure to use the things we learned about a teacher’s voice. (Energy and AUTHORITY!)

6. BIBLE QUESTIONS (10 POINTS)

IMPORTANT: Make sure your answer is 3 sentences or more:  

A. In John 8:44 we see that Satan is described as the father of lies. Talk about a time you believed a lie. 

Answer: I had gone in for an interview, the vacancy was advertised in the local paper, to which I responded. Was contacted a few days later and informed that my application was successful and the driver will pick me up at my home address on a certain day to start my employment. What kind of a job was this, yes it was virtual, so why did I have to go to the "office".

It was only once I had signed my contract and been at the "office" did I realize what kind of virtual work it was and why we were expected to work from the "office". Suffice to say, I was out of there as fast as I could be.

B. In John 8:58-59 we see that people wanted to kill Jesus. Why did they want to kill Him?

Answer: Because according to them He was blaspheming by saying "I AM", claiming to be God. They felt Jesus was putting Himself before God, it is like He challenged the religious authority. The people were upset that he claimed to be "I AM"

7. ORPHAN CARE (10 POINTS)

The first psychiatric disorder we will be learning about caused by trauma is Attachment Disorder. Research and describe what Attachment Disorder is.

Answer: It is referred to as a psychiatric disorder, mainly in young children. They may have been emotionally or physically abused or even neglected, or have grown up with not enough love, care shown to them. Or they could have experienced a loss of someone close to them.

Although the real cause of Attachment Disorder is unknown, research also says that inadequate care-giving is a possible cause.

8. EARNING MONEY TEACHING ENGLISH (10 POINTS)

Do some research online and share three tips for how to develop good relationships with the parents of students you tutor. Why would this be important to develop relationships with the parents?

Answer: Keep the parents updated on their childs' progress. Invite the parent to either watch or partake in a lesson. Build a positive relationship with the parents. Give constant feedback to parents, timeously.

Be available when the parent needs to speak about the learner, keep an open line of communication. Let the parent know that their child is just as important to you as your own.
